Kwartet At the doctor’s

Een uitgebreid kwartetspel om spelenderwijs en communicatief de Engelse woorden te oefenen bij het thema ‘At the doctor’s’. Kinderen kunnen vanaf groep 5 op deze manier in kleine groepjes met elkaar in het Engels communiceren en ook oefenen met de chunks ´Have you got…? / ´Yes, I have / No, I haven´t´. Het is goed te gebruiken in de oefenfase.
Het spel bevat 44 verschillende kaarten in 11 categorieën, zoals ‘at the hospital’, ‘wounds’ en ‘solutions’. Elke categorie heeft een eigen kleur. Print de kaarten in kleur uit, plak ze op donker papier en lamineer ze. Op deze manier zijn ze jarenlang te gebruiken in diverse groepen.
De volgende woorden komen in het spel voor:
- Aches: stomach ache, toothache, headache, earache
- Physical complaints: a rash, a swelling, a sprain, a bruise
- Being ill: fever, flu, nauseous, pain
- A cold: a runny nose, blow your nose, sneeze, a bad cough
- At the doctor’s: doctor, prescription, eye chart, patient
- Instruments: syringe, stethoscope, thermometer, examination table
- At the hospital I: waiting room, nurse, surgery, x-ray
- At the hospital II: paramedics, stretcher, operation, ambulance
- Wounds: a cut, a graze, blood, a scrape
- Solutions II: a plaster, a bandage, medicine, stitches
- Solutions II: aspirin, crutches, injection, cough syrup
